What type of shaving tool should I use for skins with history of razor bumps/ingrown hair?

I have been using the Andis Professional Outliner I I Trimmer #04603 for about 1 year now but I am still having problems with ingrown hair. I am wondering if anyone would know a trimmer or clipper that can help my condition. I want to buy another shaving kit.

FYI, I have been using Bump Patrol with my shaving kit.

oh my gosh i know how you feel!!!! i hate shaving because of the results i get! i use a normal razor and the brand venus breeze works really well. i also put lotion and then shaving cream to have minimal razor bumps. good luck girl!

Once you have him distracted enough, you can start clipping away at his coat.

What is a GREAT pro dog grooming clipper for large dog?

I have a couple of German Shepherds (lots of thick hair) and an Akita. Wondering if anyone knows of a powerful clipper that trims easily. I’ve looked on Ebay, but not sure which brand to look for.

I like the Andis ultra edge 2 speed clippers. They run about $134-$200 depending on where you get them. There are some more powerful ones but they are much more expensive. I’ve been using the ultra edge ones for years now and I love them. But I shave down several dogs a day, 5 days a week so they should be perfect for you. Oh, and if you bathe your dogs first (I know their hair is thick so they’ll take a while to dry) you’ll get a much smoother cut than if you shave them before the bath. Just make sure to blow off all the little hairs afterwards. Good luck!!
